Simply put, this is the "Apocalypse Now" of drum videos! No stone is left unturned as Rock covers seemingly every possible aspect of being a great drummer. ...(Rock's) chops are more frightening than ever as he navigates the viewer through a number of mind-numbing technique demos and world class song/solo performances. (ZOD) is as comprehensive as it is entertaining, and the production value is without compare. The bar line has just been raised... Bravo, Bobby!

...Rock is a very capable technician who demonstrates incredible dexterity and four-way independence. His performances - and his words of advice - are inspiring, giving drummers raw material to become better soloists and groovesmiths. (The Zen of Drumming) knocks the ball out of the park as an instructional video.

Whether talking about good nutrition or demonstrating patterns, fills, or extended solo ideas, ...you'll find a ton of vital info in The Zen of Drumming that will keep you in the woodshed for a long time to come. I recommend it for anyone who is serious about the art of drumming.

Just wanted to say that I received the new video and thought it was great. I thought it would be tough to top Metalmorphosis but you did. All I can say is (ZOD) was very inspirational. The performances were awesome as usual (I've seen you live 5 or 6 times). But the coolest thing was the practice pad segments. It definitely has gotten me back into the daily grind of the pad and I expect it will continue, especially since you showed how you have to do so to improve. Also, the nutrition part was very cool... Congratulations on a great success.

Wow! I just sat through all three hours of your new video. Damn! I think I picked up more s*** from ZOD then all of my other drum videos combined. And what's up with that Octopus groove? That's the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen! Thank you for this. It's been a long time since Metalmorphosis, but it was worth the wait. Time for me to go practice!

Just wanted to say that I haven't been that inspired by a drum vid in a long time, and this one REALLY did it for me. Absolutely 100% satisfied. THANKS!!

I'm not sure if you'll get this, but I had to write to you about your new drum video, The Zen of Drumming. My drummer just got a copy and was playing it before rehearsal... Now, I'm not even a drummer, but I was blown away. I've never seen a drummer do what you do. I can only imagine how much practice it's taken you to be able to get each limb to function on their own like that. And that's a lot of what inspired me with my own playing...so much of what you talked about and showed can be applied to guitar playing or really any other instrument. There aren't a lot of true masters of their craft out there in music anymore. Keep it up...

Excellent video! I learned a lot and was very entertained at the same time. And all the cool camera angles helped me to better understand what you do behind that monster kit of yours. You are the man!

Men are from Mars, women are from Venus, and Bobby Rock is from f****** Pluto! I've just spent the better part of two days checking out your video and I'm simply amazed at what I've seen and heard. You should be much more well known than you already are. And you're a great teacher, too. I'm just not sure whether I should burn my drums or start practicing 10 hours a day! Thanks for the inspiration...

Finally, something for musicians on the mind, body and spirit. Excellent! I have always had a fascination with Zen and other Eastern schools of thought, but never had a clue about how it all applies to drumming, music and art. You did a perfect job of explaining it all. I've already seen a big difference in my playing, although I know I still have a long way to go. I just hope it can get me doing some of that "transcendent" lightning fast solo work you do between the snare and cymbals! You're an animal, Bobby!

The Zen of Drumming rocks! I've seen it at least 4 or 5 times now, and I keep picking up new things...sometimes technical, sometimes philosophy-wise. Either way, it's really helped me to become a better drummer in a pretty short period of time. And those drum solos! Damn. Never seen anything like it. Definitely gives me something to shoot for in the future. Great job, Bobby.

I recently picked up your The Zen of Drumming and just loved the sections that discussed mind/body integration. Granted, your drumming behind that monster kit is mind-blowing, but I just identified with, and learned so much from, the practice pad, health/nutrition, and mind/body sections. It surely is a wonderful DVD...so thanks and best success in the future!

I just got ZOD and may I say that it is an awesome teaching tool! I've already picked up some helpful tricks and tips and I just got it on Saturday. Your style is awesome and the way you break it down just, to put it bluntly, makes sense. Thanks so much for taking the time to teach. I've been playing drums for over 20 years and this has opened a whole new arsenal for me to put in my "bag of tricks!" I just wanted to drop you a line to tell you how valuable this DVD is and I would recommend it to anyone who has the desire to better their playing and lifestyle! Thanks Bobby and God bless you!

I have just watched your DVD, The Zen of Drumming, and I have to say it's given me the most motivation and practice tools of any video or DVD I have seen. Without knowing it you have touched my life in a very meaningful way. Thanks...
